LFFF2017 programme out now!

London Feminist Film Festival

The LFFF2017 programme has been released!

This year will be the 5th London Feminist Film Festival  and we have some special treats in store to celebrate this occasion with you.

As in previous years, we will be returning to the lovely Rio Cinema in Dalston from 17 to 20 August, however we will also have a special screening at BFI Southbank for our Feminist Classic The Sealed Soil this year.

Shot clandestinely before being smuggled out of pre-revolution Iran for post-production, The Sealed Soil achieved international success, including winning Most Outstanding Film of the Year at the 1977 London Film Festival. This beautifully shot film follows 18-year-old Rooy-Bekheir as she struggles for independence and identity in her southern Iranian village. This is a rare chance to see this feminist classic on the director’s own 16mm print. Tickets are selling fast, with almost 70% gone already – don’t miss out on this film…
