Walk 1000 miles 2017 Challenge

2017 ushered in some beautiful weather here at Robin Hoods Bay as well as an introduction to David Maughan’s blog http://www.Secretwalks.com and his face book page  The Secret Diaries of a Long-distance Walker-an inspiring blog with some wonderful images from the walks. As a consequence of reading David’s blog on the Country Walking Challenge for 2017, to walk 1000 miles across the year, I have signed up!

“If you get out and walk you will have some unexpected surprises”.

Today I did a circular walk with Steve along the beach to Ravenscar and back to Boggle Hole, up through the farm track, moors and back to Robin Hoods Bay. At 9km, 5.6 miles in beautiful crisp weather, it was a fabulous and energising walk.

So, if you fancy joining me here is where you sign up!

More walkingborders walks to follow from Chios, London and Cork.
